Meet Our Consultants

Amanda Turecek

Amanda Turecek, LMFT, LAC (she/her/hers) is the founder and Executive Director of RAFT Counseling in Parker, Colorado. She is an EMDR Certified Therapist and Consultant with a clinical background in trauma, addiction, and sports performance. Amanda values making EMDR accessible and adaptable to the complexities of real clinical work while helping clinicians integrate the model authentically into their own practice. She brings curiosity, collaboration, and humor to consultation, creating a space where clinicians can ask questions, talk through the messy parts of the work, and develop confidence in their own way of practicing EMDR.

Angela Green

Angela Green, LPC (she/her), is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant who brings a warm, practical, and collaborative approach to consultation. She has extensive experience using EMDR with complex trauma, attachment wounds, dissociation, and anxiety, with a particular interest in working with adults who grew up with emotionally immature parents, where substance use, mental illness or workaholism was prevalent in the family.

Angela draws from Parts Work, attachment-focused approaches, somatic techniques, and nervous-system regulation through a Polyvagal lens to help clinicians better understand and support the whole person. She especially enjoys helping clinicians think through cases where more time, stabilization, or creative preparation may be needed before moving into trauma reprocessing. Angela’s consultation style is encouraging and down-to-earth, creating a space where clinicians feel comfortable asking questions, working through challenging cases, and building confidence using EMDR in real-world practice.

Maggie Young

Maggie Young, LCSW, is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field and a collaborative, creative, and integrative approach to both psychotherapy and EMDR consultation. She has practiced EMDR therapy since 2017 and is the owner of Creative Journeys Counseling in Arvada, CO, where she specializes in working with adolescents and adults, particularly creatives, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those navigating trauma, identity, relationships, and life transitions. Maggie holds certifications in sandtray therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and sound healing, and enjoys exploring ways to make EMDR more flexible, responsive, and individualized.

As a consultant, Maggie strives to create a supportive, collaborative environment where therapists can deepen their clinical understanding, strengthen their confidence, and develop their own authentic style as EMDR practitioners. She welcomes curiosity, thoughtful case exploration, and the complexities that arise in trauma work.
